ALONE IN THE SANCTUARY
Turtle Sanctuary - Punta Dumalag, Davao - 04/12/09
This famous lone tree is located at the Turtle Sanctuary in Punta Dumalag, Davao City. It is part of 37 hectare Marine Protected Area designated as the nesting ground of marine turtles. The sanctuary is also engage in tagging and rescue of illegally captured turtles. A ban on fishing is also imposed in the area. Because of this, it has become a propagating area for fishes.
