During our last day in Boracay, we paid a short visit at Bulabog Beach which is located at the east side of the island. It might be not as impressive as White Beach at the opposite side, but makes  up for being less busy and touristy. The beach features shady trees that provides a relaxing atmosphere for visitors.

Getting Ready

Bulabog Beach is also called the sports beach of Boracay.  The water here  is shallow for swimming but wind is ideal for kite boarding and wind surfing during the months of October to May. Various kite boarding and wind surfing competitions are being held here.  And because of this, it is now considered as one of the top sports beaches in Asia. This windy beach has been developed to offer visitors with establishments like water sports school, restaurants and accommodations from low to high end.

This is my type of beach, where I could sit or lay the whole day underneath the tree and watch the sports activities.  I will consider staying in one of the accommodations in Bulabog Beach on my next Boracay visit. If I only knew that it is verynear D’Mall (5 to 10 minutes walk), we could have stayed here during our vacation and didn’t missed shooting sunrise and star trails.

  1. Hi Erick! Great photos and write-up! I knew someone from sports magazine who’s looking for water sports activity photos. Let me know if you’re interested in contacting him 😀
